The Mission Beach Taxpayers Association (MBTA) is an unincorporated community in central Alberta in Leduc County, located 15 kilometers south of Hwy 39, 43 kilometers southwest of Leduc. It is located just west of Sundance Beach. Mission Beach (on Pigeon Lake) is named after the historical site Rundle's Mission. Robert Rundle established a mission on the shores of Pigeon Lake in this area in 1847. Rundle was involved with many First Nations peoples interested in Christianity and advocated for their traditional beliefs and way of life.
The purpose of this website is to provide Mission Beach property owners with information specifically related to Mission Beach and share important information about "What it means to live in the Pigeon Lake Watershed Community".
