What is Municipal Reserve Land?
The reserve lands between Lakeshore Drive and the provincially owned bed and shore (crown land) are owned by Leduc County. No Mission Beach resident has ownership or exclusive rights to any of the lakeshore lands. The Mission Beach lakeshore land is for the environmental protection of Pigeon Lake and use by all Mission Beach residents and is not restricted to the public. The Mission Beach Lakeshore Land Use Guidelines define the usage of the lakeshore lands in the Mission Beach community. Any development of these lands outside of these guidelines must be brought forward to the Mission Beach Municipal Reserve (MR) Policy Committee and Leduc County.
