Mission Beach refuse collection is not provided by Leduc County. A private option is available.
Refuse collection is weekly from the May long weekend until Thanksgiving long weekend on Mondays (or Tuesday if it is a holiday Monday). After the Thanksgiving long weekend, collection will occur every 2nd Monday.
Refuse must be bagged as follows: blue bags for recycling, black bags for refuse and dismantled cardboard can be left beside your garbage cans. ALL BAGS MUST BE TIED UP.
Annual cash or cheque payments are paid directly to Ed Lickoch. To arrange collection, please contact Ed at 587-785-2171 (cell) or 780-789-2407 (home) or by mail at Box 316, Thorsby, AB T0C 2P0
NO WAKE ZONE
Pigeon Lake boating enthusiasts are reminded of the NO WAKE ZONE betwen the shoreline and buoys. The speed limit is 10 Km/hr within 90 meters or 295.28 feet of the shoreline. This pertains to the entire shoreline around the lake for safety and to reduce shoreline erosion. This distance extends well beyond where the buoys are actually placed in the water in front of Mission Beach.
